About the Role

Health Initiatives for Safety and Stability in Africa (HIFASS) is a prominent Non-Governmental Organization established in October 2007 to cater to the strategic manpower needs of military health facilities. We are looking for a dedicated Zonal EMR & IT Support Assistant to act as our physical IT custodian, ensuring seamless technical operations, robust network administration, and reliable user support for our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) applications across assigned zonal facilities in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide responsive on-demand helpdesk support via phone, email, and the dedicated ticket management system with a time-to-first-response of under two hours.
  • Perform on-site and remote hardware diagnostics, component replacements, and routine preventive maintenance for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Administer local networks (LAN/WLAN), routers, firewalls, and access points while maintaining clean server room hygiene and uninterrupted power stability.
  • Ensure all facility endpoints run approved security builds, antivirus definitions, and adhere strictly to organizational cybersecurity policies.
  • Track and manage IT asset inventory, oversee third-party vendors and ISPs, and document all service resolutions and hardware swaps.
  • Onboard new users to the Viva EMR application, conduct hands-on training for existing staff on new features, and coordinate closely with the central software development team.
Qualifications
  • HND or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on technical support experience with verified competency in physical PC repair, facility networking, and specialized software support.
  • Proven technical proficiency in bench-level repairs, TCP/IP, VLANs, Windows OS environments, and structured cabling.
  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, or OEM repair certifications (Dell, Lenovo) are highly advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel frequently between designated facility sites within assigned zonal locations (Lagos, Port Harcourt, Kaduna, FCT, or Uyo).
