By using MyJobAlly, you agree to these terms. Key points: we help job seekers find jobs and employers find candidates, but we don't guarantee employment or hires; some jobs on the site come directly from employers we've verified, others are sourced from other job sites and processed for you; you're responsible for verifying any job or employer before sharing sensitive information or accepting an offer. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please stop using the site.
Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "your") and MyJobAlly ("MyJobAlly," "we," "us," or "our"), a service of CyParks Technologies, governing your access to and use of the website at myjobally.com and any associated services (collectively, the "Site").
By accessing or using the Site in any way — browsing job listings, creating an account, subscribing to job alerts, posting a job, or applying for one — you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into this agreement by reference.
If you are using the Site on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms, and "you" refers to that organisation as well.
Using the site means agreeing to these terms — including just browsing. If you're signing up on behalf of your company, you're agreeing on the company's behalf too.
Description of Service
MyJobAlly is a job board connecting job seekers with employers in Nigeria. Our Site includes:
- Job listings posted directly by verified employers, and additional listings sourced from other job websites and made available on the Site — see Section 8 for how these are handled
- Search and filtering tools to browse jobs by category, location, employment type, and salary
- Candidate accounts, including a profile, resume/CV upload, application tracking, and saved jobs
- Employer accounts, including job posting tools, applicant management, and messaging with candidates
- Job alert email subscriptions and a daily digest of newly posted jobs
- Career-related articles and resources published on our News & Resources section
MyJobAlly is a discovery and connection platform. We do not guarantee that you will find a job or that an employer will find a suitable candidate, and we are not a party to any employment relationship formed as a result of using the Site.
Eligibility
To use the Site, you must meet the following requirements:
- You must be at least 16 years of age. If you are under 18, you must use the Site under the supervision of a parent, legal guardian, or other responsible adult.
- You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- Your access to the Site must not have been previously suspended or terminated by us.
We reserve the right to refuse access to the Site to any person or entity at our discretion.
Permitted Use
Here's what you may and may not do when using MyJobAlly.
Violating these rules may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account, without notice or refund, and may be reported to the relevant authorities where appropriate.
Job Seekers
If you use MyJobAlly to search for work, the following applies to you.
Your Account and Profile
Creating an account lets you save jobs, track applications, upload a resume/CV, and set up job alerts. You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for the accuracy of the information in your profile and resume.
Applying to Jobs
Depending on how an employer has set up a listing, applying may take you to an external application page, open your email client to send a direct application, or (for jobs sourced from another site, see Section 8) take you to that job's original posting. MyJobAlly is not responsible for what happens after you leave our Site to apply, and we don't control an employer's hiring process, response time, or decisions.
No Employment Guarantee
MyJobAlly does not guarantee that applying to a job will result in an interview, an offer, or employment. All hiring decisions belong solely to the employer.
Legitimate employers never ask you to pay to apply, to interview, or to "process" your hiring. If a listing or a message asks you for money, treat it as a scam and report it to us immediately.
Employers & Job Listings
If you create an employer account to post jobs, the following applies to you.
Account Verification
We verify employer accounts before a posted job goes live, to help protect job seekers from fake listings. We may request company information as part of this process.
Your Responsibility for Listings
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of every job listing, company description, and message you post or send through the Site. This includes making sure a listing doesn't discriminate unlawfully, misrepresent the role, or omit that a fee is required from candidates (which is not permitted — see Section 4).
Our Right to Moderate
We review employer-submitted job listings before they go live and may reject, edit for clarity, or remove any listing at our discretion, for any reason, including a listing that appears fraudulent, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate.
Applicant Data
When a candidate applies to your listing, you receive their application materials for the purpose of considering them for that role. You agree to use this information only for recruitment purposes and to handle it in line with applicable data protection law.
Subscriptions & Payments
Posting jobs on MyJobAlly is a paid service for employers, based on subscription plans that include a set number of job listing credits and, on some plans, featured listing credits.
- All prices are shown in Nigerian Naira (₦) unless stated otherwise.
- Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment providers (Paystack and/or Flutterwave). We do not store your full card details ourselves.
- Upgrading to a higher plan, or renewing your current plan early, carries over any unused listing credits from your previous plan.
- Subscriptions do not renew automatically unless we clearly tell you otherwise at the time of purchase.
- Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise, since a listing credit is consumed at the point a job is published.
You buy a plan, it gives you a number of job posts (and sometimes featured posts). Upgrade early and you keep what you haven't used yet. We don't auto-renew your subscription behind your back.
Listings Sourced From Other Sites
In addition to jobs posted directly by verified employers, MyJobAlly displays additional job listings gathered from other job websites, which we process (including using automated tools) to present in a consistent format on our Site.
- These listings are provided for informational purposes, and we do our best to link you to a genuine way to apply for the role — often the original source site's own application page.
- We do not control, and cannot guarantee the accuracy, availability, or currency of, job details that originate from a third-party source — a role may have closed or changed by the time you view it.
- We are not affiliated with, and do not represent, the original source website or the employer named in a sourced listing.
Always use your own judgement when applying to a sourced listing, and verify a company's legitimacy independently before sharing personal information or attending an interview.
User Content & Conduct
"User Content" means anything you submit to the Site — your resume, profile information, job listings, company description, messages, or reviews.
You retain ownership of your User Content. By posting it on MyJobAlly, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute it for the purpose of operating and promoting the Site — for example, showing your public resume to employers you apply to, or displaying a job listing in search results.
You agree not to post User Content that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, discriminatory, or that infringes anyone else's rights. We may remove any User Content, and suspend or terminate accounts, at our discretion.
Intellectual Property
The MyJobAlly name, logo, and the design, code, and original content of the Site (excluding User Content and third-party sourced listings) are the property of CyParks Technologies. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Site without our written permission.
Disclaimers
The Site and all listings, profiles, and content on it are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or legality of any job listing, company page, resume, or salary estimate on the Site, whether posted by an employer, sourced from elsewhere, or generated by us.
We are not responsible for the conduct of any employer, job seeker, or other third party you interact with through the Site, on or off the platform.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyJobAlly and CyParks Technologies will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site — including loss of employment opportunity, lost profits, or lost data — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed the amount you have paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MyJobAlly and CyParks Technologies from any claim, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
Termination
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to the Site or its users. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, and Limitation of Liability) will continue to apply.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms, and any dispute arising from or related to them or your use of the Site, are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through a notice on the Site. Continuing to use the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
