Privacy Policy

This explains what information we collect, why, and what rights you have over it. If you'd rather skip the detail, the summary below covers the essentials.

Last Updated: July 31, 2026

The Short Version

We collect the information needed to run a job board — your account details, resume, and job search activity — and use it to match you with jobs or candidates. We don't sell your personal information. We use cookies to keep you logged in and to power features like job alerts. You can access, correct, or request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us or, for most things, directly from your account settings.

Overview

MyJobAlly ("MyJobAlly," "we," "us," or "our") is a service of CyParks Technologies. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you visit myjobally.com or use any of our services (the "Site").

By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you don't agree with this policy, please don't use the Site.

This policy applies to everyone who uses the Site — job seekers, employers, and visitors browsing without an account.

Information We Collect

What we collect depends on how you use the Site.

If You Create a Candidate Account

  • Your name, email address, and password
  • Your resume/CV, work experience, education, and skills, if you add them to your profile
  • Jobs you save, apply to, or search for
  • Your job alert preferences (keywords, location, category)
  • Messages you send to employers through the Site

If You Create an Employer Account

  • Your name, work email address, and password
  • Your company name and information provided for account verification
  • Job listings you post and applications you receive
  • Messages you send to candidates through the Site
  • Billing information related to your subscription (see Section 6)

If You Sign In With Google or LinkedIn

If you choose to create an account or log in using a third-party account, that provider shares your name and email address with us to set up your MyJobAlly account. Your use of that third-party account remains governed by that provider's own privacy policy.

Newsletter and Job Alert Subscribers

If you subscribe to our newsletter or daily job digest from the site footer or elsewhere, we collect the email address you provide, and nothing else, for the sole purpose of sending that email.

Automatically Collected Information

Like most websites, we automatically collect some technical information when you visit the Site, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, mainly to keep the Site secure and working properly.

How We Use Your Data

We use the information above to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Show job seekers relevant job listings, and send job alert and daily digest emails to those who subscribe
  • Send a job seeker's application materials to the employer they've applied to
  • Let employers manage their job listings and review applicants
  • Process subscription payments and prevent fraud
  • Respond to support requests and improve the Site
  • Comply with our legal obligations
Plain English

We use your data to actually run the job board — matching you to jobs, or you to candidates — not for anything unrelated to that.

4

Cookies & Tracking

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them for:

  • Essential cookies — keeping you logged in and remembering your session, which the Site can't function properly without
  • Preference cookies — remembering choices you've made, like a saved search filter

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may affect parts of the Site that require you to be logged in.

5

How We Share Your Data

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

  • With employers — when you apply to a job, your application materials go to that employer
  • With service providers — companies that help us operate the Site, such as our payment processors (Paystack and Flutterwave) and email delivery provider, who only receive what they need to perform their service
  • For legal reasons — if required to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MyJobAlly, our users, or the public
  • With your consent — for any other purpose you've specifically agreed to
6

Payment Information

When an employer pays for a subscription, payment is handled entirely by our payment processors, Paystack and/or Flutterwave. We do not receive or store full card numbers or card security codes on our own servers — only a payment reference and the status of the transaction, so we know to activate your plan.

7

Data Retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide our services to you. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain certain records to comply with the law (for example, transaction records for tax purposes).

8

Your Rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA), and as a matter of policy for all our users regardless of location, you have the following rights over your personal data:

Right to Access

Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Right to Rectification

Correct inaccurate or incomplete data — most of this you can do directly in your account settings.

Right to Erasure

Request deletion of your personal data — or use the "Delete Account" option in your settings.

Right to Object

Object to our processing of your data, such as unsubscribing from marketing emails.

Right to Portability

Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format on request.

Right to Restrict Processing

Ask us to limit how we use your data while a request or dispute is resolved.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy[at]myjobally.com. We may ask you to verify your identity before actioning a request, and will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Note on Job Applications

Once you've applied to a job and your materials have been sent to an employer, that employer becomes responsible for the copy of your data they hold — you may need to contact them directly to have it removed from their own records.

9

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypting passwords and securing our infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10

Children's Privacy

The Site is not intended for anyone under 16. If you are between 16 and 18, you should use the Site under the supervision of a parent, legal guardian, or other responsible adult. If we learn we've collected personal data from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete it.

11

Third-Party Links

The Site may link to job listings or content on other websites, including sites we source job listings from. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party sites — please review their own privacy policies before providing them with information.

12

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through a notice on the Site.
