Ferscoat International Academy is seeking a passionate and experienced Yoruba Teacher to join our esteemed academic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in preserving cultural heritage and enhancing linguistic skills among secondary school students. We are looking for an inspiring educator who can make learning the Yoruba language engaging, interactive, and relevant for learners aged 10 to 16.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and structured Yoruba language lessons to students aged 10 to 16 based on varying skill levels.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with the school curriculum and educational standards.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic improvement.
- Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active student participation.
- Organize cultural activities and events to promote a deeper appreciation of Yoruba traditions and history.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavioral assessments.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in departmental meetings and school-wide professional development programs.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed) with a specialization in Yoruba or related arts, or a Master's Degree.
- Minimum of 2 to 9 years of active teaching experience in a recognized educational institution.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency in using digital learning tools for modern classroom instruction.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Yoruba.
- Proven ability to manage a diverse classroom and adapt teaching methods to suit different learning paces.
