Anthony White Bridge Academy, a leading co-educational private Nursery, Primary, and Secondary school, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Yoruba Teacher to join our academic team. We are looking for a skilled Yoruba Teacher who shares our commitment to excellence and can inspire students to appreciate the richness of the Yoruba language.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Yoruba language lessons in line with the approved curriculum.
- Develop students' proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Yoruba.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and interest in the subject.
- Set, administer, and grade assignments, tests, and examinations.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as needed.
- Prepare students adequately for internal and external examinations.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the overall academic development of students.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and academic performance.
- Instill cultural values and appreciation for Yoruba heritage in students.
- Participate in school meetings, training, and extracurricular activities as required.
- B.Ed, B.Sc, PGDE, or M.Sc in Yoruba or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in a reputable, top-flight school.
- Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification is compulsory.
- Strong command of spoken and written Yoruba language.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to design creative and effective lesson plans.
