About the Role
The Apostolic Church Model College is a co-educational mission high school with boarding facilities located along the Sango-Eleyele Road in Ibadan, Oyo State. Founded by the Presbytery of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Sango-Ibadan Assembly, our institution focuses on providing a high-quality, holistic learning experience designed to cultivate academic excellence alongside strict moral integrity. We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Yoruba Teacher to join our esteemed academic community.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Yoruba language and literature lessons in accordance with the approved Nigerian secondary school curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic improvement and fluency in the language.
- Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment that encourages active student participation and appreciation for Yoruba culture and heritage.
- Participate in curriculum development, lesson planning meetings, and school-wide academic activities and cultural events.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavioral assessments as required by the school administration.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and parents to support the holistic development and moral upbringing of boarding and day students.
- Possession of a B.Sc, B.Ed, or B.Sc (Education) in Yoruba Language or a relevant field from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Proven experience teaching Yoruba at the secondary school level is an added advantage.
- Deep understanding of Nigerian educational standards and curriculum requirements for secondary education.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
