About the Role

Millie's British International School (MBIS) Ibadan is seeking an experienced and capable Associate Teacher to join our vibrant primary teaching team. As an established educational institution, we pride ourselves on laying a strong foundation for every child through the British Early Years Foundation and primary frameworks. We are looking for dedicated educators who possess sound classroom teaching skills, secure subject knowledge, and a passion for primary education to help our pupils thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare purposeful, engaging lessons following agreed curriculum sequences and lesson plans
  • Teach effectively by explaining concepts clearly, using strategic questioning, and modeling work
  • Maintain positive classroom routines, excellent behavior management, and high pupil engagement
  • Assess student progress, mark work, and provide constructive feedback
  • Manage classroom time efficiently and prepare teaching resources independently
  • Receive professional feedback positively and implement growth strategies
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or PGDE as a minimum academic qualification
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant primary classroom teaching experience
  • Secure knowledge of the primary curriculum, particularly English, Mathematics, and Science
  • Strong spoken and written English communication skills
  • Good computer literacy and clear, legible handwriting
  • Must reside in Ibadan or be able to commute reliably to our campus off Jericho
