About the Role
Godfrey Okoye University Teaching Hospital (GOUNITH), formerly Ntasi Obi Hospital, is a premier university teaching hospital dedicated to medical excellence, research, education, and compassionate patient care. We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified X-Ray Technician to join our vibrant Radiology Department and contribute to our mission of advancing healthcare standards in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during imaging procedures while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot radiology equipment to ensure optimal operational functionality.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
- Manage patient records accurately, ensuring data privacy and compliance with hospital ICT standards.
- Completion of the prescribed three-year training program from a recognized School of Health Technology with successful examination results.
- Full registration and current valid practicing license with the relevant professional regulatory body.
- Minimum of two (2) years of cognate post-qualification clinical experience in a recognized medical facility.
- Strong ICT compliance and proficiency in modern digital radiography and hospital information systems.
- Demonstrated integrity, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.
