About the Role
The Delta State Hospitals Management Board (HMB) is inviting applications from qualified and motivated graduates for the position of Intern Medical Radiographer. Operating across 62 state hospitals structured into 11 medical zones, our mission is to deliver responsive, high-quality, and efficient healthcare services to the citizens of Delta State. As an intern, you will work alongside seasoned medical professionals, gaining hands-on clinical exposure and contributing to vital diagnostic imaging services within our healthcare network.
Key Responsibilities- Assist senior radiographers in performing routine and specialized diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays and ultrasounds.
- Ensure proper positioning of patients and adherence to safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage imaging equipment in compliance with hospital standards.
- Participate in departmental training sessions, seminars, and continuous professional development programs.
- Provide compassionate care and clear communication to patients before, during, and after imaging procedures.
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or Bachelor of Medical Radiography (B.Rad) degree from a recognized university.
- Must be duly registered with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN) as an intern or hold the appropriate provisional license.
- Demonstrated strong commitment to healthcare ethics and patient-centered care.
