About the Role
Aster Bloom Academy, a premier private educational institution located in the prestigious GRA of Benin City, Edo State, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our growing team. Following our recent structural evolution and expansion into secondary education at our new permanent site, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and well-being for our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide immediate first aid and medical care to students and staff members in cases of illness or injury.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students, tracking immunizations and medical histories.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with school policies and parental consent.
- Conduct routine health screenings and promote health education and hygiene practices across the school community.
- Manage the school clinic inventory, ensuring first-aid kits and medical supplies are fully stocked and up to date.
- Liaise with parents, guardians, and local healthcare providers in the event of medical emergencies.
- Possession of a relevant nursing qualification (RN, RM, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Current and valid practicing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical or school nursing experience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and empathetic patient-care skills.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure during medical emergencies.
