Key Responsibilities- Perform routine X-ray examinations as requested by medical officers and clinicians.
- Prepare and correctly position patients for various imaging procedures while ensuring their comfort.
- Operate X-ray machines and related radiographic equipment efficiently and safely.
- Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety, protection standards, and regulatory protocols.
- Assist in processing, reviewing, and evaluating the quality of radiographic images.
- Maintain accurate patient records, logs, and imaging documentation in line with hospital policies.
- Report equipment faults promptly and assist in routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Ensure the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall safety of the imaging unit.
- Support senior radiographers and medical staff during specialized diagnostic procedures.
- Provide clear instructions, guidance, and reassurance to patients before and during exams.
- Possession of a Diploma or certificate in X-Ray Technology or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Solid foundational knowledge of modern radiographic procedures and techniques.
- Comprehensive understanding of radiation safety practices and protective measures.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and patient care skills.
- Relevant clinical experience in a recognized medical or healthcare facility.
- Valid professional licensing or registration with the relevant regulatory body in Nigeria.
