About the Role
Siemens, a global engineering powerhouse and industry leader, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Workshop Technician to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in supporting the service, repair, and overhaul of compressors and rotating equipment, ensuring exceptional regional service delivery and maximum customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Perform complete disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and reassembly of compressors and rotating equipment components following strict technical standards.
- Diagnose mechanical faults, conduct precision dimensional measurements using micrometers and dial indicators, and determine necessary refurbishment activities.
- Support final equipment testing, calibration, and quality assurance processes before customer delivery.
- Adhere strictly to Siemens Energy Zero Harm policies, maintaining optimal workshop cleanliness and ensuring proper tool calibration.
- Document all inspection findings, measurements, and completed repair activities in detailed workshop reports.
- Technical Diploma, Trade Test (Grade I/II), or equivalent vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related science discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience working in a mechanical workshop environment focusing on compressors and rotating machinery.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools, specialized lifting equipment, and standard workshop machinery.
- Valid HSE Certificates (Levels 1, 2 & 3) and a Forklift Operator Certificate.
