We are currently partnering with a prominent manufacturing client to recruit an experienced Machine Technician for their dynamic production facility. This role is crucial for maximizing equipment reliability, reducing operational downtime, and driving manufacturing excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on all production machinery and associated equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical faults across active production lines.
- Monitor, service, and maintain industrial power and utility systems to guarantee uninterrupted manufacturing processes.
- Diagnose and resolve issues relating to electrical power supplies, control panels, industrial motors, and sensors.
- Conduct thorough daily inspections to ensure equipment operates in compliance with strict safety and performance standards.
- Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new production lines and heavy machinery.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and service industrial air conditioning systems and related climate control units.
- Inspect and maintain gear systems, ensuring optimal gear operation, precise alignment, proper lubrication, and wear prevention.
- Maintain comprehensive logs of machine breakdowns, corrective repairs, scheduled maintenance, and spare parts utilization.
- Collaborate closely with the Production and Engineering departments to minimize operational downtime and boost overall equipment effectiveness.
- Adhere strictly to corporate health, safety, and environmental guidelines during all maintenance activities.
- Minimum of an OND, HND, or B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Possess 2 to 4 years of demonstrable hands-on maintenance experience within an FMCG or structured manufacturing environment.
- Solid technical understanding of industrial electrical systems, power supplies, and utility management.
- Proven ability to read, interpret, and work from complex electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to equipment failure diagnosis.
- Flexibility to work in rotating shifts and respond swiftly to emergency production breakdowns when required.
