Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily workshop operations, maintenance activities, and the deployment of mechanical equipment and components.
- Allocate tasks and review work orders, technical drawings, job cards, and maintenance requests for technicians and artisans.
- Ensure precision in machining, welding, fitting, fabrication, and equipment overhaul according to manufacturer specifications.
- Coordinate testing and inspection of repaired or fabricated equipment prior to release for service.
- Enforce company HSE policies, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain strict compliance with safety procedures including PTW and LOTO.
- Monitor spare parts availability, maintain accurate workshop records, and manage equipment maintenance history.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to junior workshop personnel and supervise external contractors.
- HND, OND, or technical certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, Fabrication, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in workshop supervision, mechanical maintenance, equipment repair, or heavy industrial operations.
- Industry background in oil and gas, petrochemicals, marine, manufacturing, or similar heavy-industry environments is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and fabrication specifications.
- Strong leadership, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of workshop safety protocols.
