About the Role

We are currently seeking two driven and experienced Workshop Managers to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will spearhead workshop operations with a primary focus on reducing vehicle downtime, implementing preventive maintenance, and driving compliance with OEM and ERP requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Workshop Manager, you will oversee day-to-day workshop activities and ensure adherence to stringent safety and quality standards. Your core duties will include:
- Optimize workshop operations and reduce vehicle downtime through meticulous preventive maintenance planning.
- Review initial VOR/VBD faults and inspect repair quality before vehicle release.
- Monitor repair times and quality to achieve key performance indicators such as EBTS and RFT.
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance in strict compliance with OEM and ERP standards.
- Manage the annual departmental budget, control expenses, and oversee spare parts quality control.
- Facilitate staff training, performance monitoring, coaching, and career development.
- Ensure full adherence to Workplace Safety and Health (HSE) policies and regulations.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, addressing customer complaints promptly.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.Engr.) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent accredited certification.
- Active membership with NSE and COREN certification.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience managing a Truck and Trailer Workshop or similar automotive environment.
- Extensive expertise across various truck makes and models, as well as trailer specifications and building.
- Solid understanding of steel and steel-related materials used in trailer fabrication and transport.
- Proven ability to interact professionally with clients and senior stakeholders.
