About the Role

Jamub Group is a leading Nigerian conglomerate delivering diversified solutions across the B2B, B2G, and B2C economic value chains. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Technical Director to play a vital role in our engineering and construction operations. In this capacity, you will support the Technical Director in overseeing complex projects from inception to handover, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality, safety, and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Technical Director in the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale construction projects across Nigeria.
  • Monitor project execution against approved work programmes, key milestones, and scheduled completion dates.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with Project Managers, Engineers, Architects, Quantity Surveyors, contractors, and site teams.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction quality, workmanship, material usage, and overall progress.
  • Identify technical issues, execution challenges, and construction delays, and recommend practical, timely solutions.
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and work programmes.
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with approved designs, regulatory frameworks, and applicable industry standards.
  • Support the preparation and implementation of effective recovery plans for projects falling behind schedule.
  • Coordinate technical interfaces between Civil, Structural, MEP, Architectural, and other specialist engineering disciplines.
  • Assist in project handover processes, snagging exercises, system testing, commissioning, and final close-out activities.

Qualifications
  • Possession of an HND, Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building, Quantity Surveying, or a related construction field.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in construction project management, site supervision, and technical coordination.
  • Thorough understanding of Nigerian building codes, construction methodologies, and project management software.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders including consultants, contractors, and internal management teams effectively.
