About the Role
Marsand Bespoke Joinery Limited is a premier bespoke furniture company specializing in tailor-made kitchens and fitted wardrobes. We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Wood Saw Machinist to join our dedicated furniture production team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our manufacturing process, ensuring all timber, plywood, MDF, and laminates are precision-cut to meet our high standards of craftsmanship and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Operate table saws and related cutting machinery safely and efficiently to process timber and sheet materials to exact specifications.
- Read and accurately interpret technical drawings, cutting lists, and precise measurements.
- Set up, adjust, and calibrate blades, fences, and equipment for various production runs.
- Minimize material wastage while optimizing the cutting process for timber, MDF, and plywood.
- Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy, quality, and overall consistency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workshop environment adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate closely with carpenters, joiners, and the broader production team to meet strict deadlines.
- Proven professional experience operating a table saw within a commercial furniture, carpentry, or joinery workshop.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various woodworking materials, including solid timber, MDF, plywood, and laminates.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and accurate measurements.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Strict adherence to workshop safety standards and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage.
