About the Role
Petroexcel Technology Services (P) Limited is a premier design, engineering, and procurement organization delivering cutting-edge solutions to the oil and energy industry. We are currently looking for a dynamic and dedicated Wireline Field Engineer to join our expanding operations in Nigeria. In this critical field role, you will play an integral part in executing upstream projects, ensuring the safe, efficient, and precise deployment of wireline services and well intervention operations for our esteemed public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and execute complex wireline operations, well interventions, and logging services at various client sites across Nigeria.
- Ensure all field operations strictly comply with company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and industry best practices.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot specialized wireline equipment, tools, and surface machinery to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver end-to-end project goals.
- Prepare accurate daily service tickets, operational reports, and equipment maintenance logs for stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior field personnel and on-site contractors.
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 15 years of hands-on wireline field experience within the oil and gas upstream sector.
- In-depth knowledge of well-head equipment, drilling machinery, and wireline tools operations.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical problems rapidly in high-pressure offshore or onshore environments.
- Valid industry certifications and safety training credentials (e.g., BOSIET, HUET, IWCF) are highly desirable.
