About the Role

Felton Energy Services Ltd (FESL) is a leading indigenous oil and gas engineering, procurement, and maintenance company in Nigeria, dedicated to delivering cutting-edge industrial solutions. As we expand our operations by developing an advanced in-house rotating-machines rewind capability, we are looking for a skilled Winding Supervisor. In this hands-on, specialist role, you will spearhead winding and rewinding operations for industrial motors, generators, and high-voltage machines up to 11 kV, ensuring exceptional technical standards and mentoring our local engineering talent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise all stator and rotor winding, rewinding, coil manufacture, insulation, and finishing operations.
  • Oversee low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) winding projects, specifically managing machines up to 11 kV.
  • Ensure strict adherence to technical specifications, approved winding data, quality control protocols, and production schedules.
  • Collaborate closely with Electrical and Mechanical Leads to inspect work, verify technical requirements, and coordinate electrical testing.
  • Maintain precise documentation of winding records, measurements, and test results while resolving any operational defects.
  • Mentor, train, and develop Nigerian winding technicians to build a world-class in-house technical team.
  • Enforce rigorous Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards across all workshop activities through final commissioning.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in a senior winder or winding supervisory role within heavy industry.
  • Extensive expertise in rewinding industrial motors, generators, and large rotating electrical machines.
  • Demonstrated practical experience in HV winding, specifically with machines up to 11 kV.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex winding diagrams, technical drawings, and winding data sheets.
  • Proven background in supervising, training, and uplifting technical teams in multicultural environments.
  • Previous working experience in Africa or the Middle East will be considered a strong professional advantage.
