About the Role
Alpha Mead Group, a leading Total Real Estate Solutions Company certified to ISO 9001:2015 standards, is looking for an experienced HVAC Technician to join our growing team in Port Harcourt. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of air-conditioning systems across our client locations.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out installation, servicing, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of split and standalone package AC units.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration faults in air-conditioning systems and implement appropriate repairs.
- Conduct comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
- Inspect AC systems to identify faults, wear, leaks, electrical issues, and overall performance problems.
- Interpret internal AC wiring schematics to accurately diagnose and rectify electrical faults.
- Test, repair, and replace faulty components including fan motors, capacitors, contactors, relays, and thermostats.
- Respond promptly to AC breakdowns and service requests, maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities.
- Comply with all health, safety, and operational procedures while maintaining a clean work environment.
- Perform basic plumbing tasks involving PVC and PPR piping as required on-site.
- Deliver professional, courteous customer service during all client interactions.
- Minimum of SSCE or OND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on professional experience as an HVAC or AC Technician.
- Strong technical expertise in servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing split and standalone AC units.
- Comprehensive knowledge of internal AC wiring schematics, electrical components, and coil sizing.
- Proven capability in performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Basic hands-on knowledge of PVC and PPR plumbing applications.
- Must currently reside in Port Harcourt.
