About the Role
WTS Energy is a leading manpower supply and consultancy company to the global oil, gas, and energy industry. We are currently seeking a dedicated Well Workover & Intervention Engineer to join our operations in Nigeria. In this role, you will plan, design, and execute well workover operations safely and efficiently to restore, sustain, and enhance well productivity while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop well-specific workover programs, comprehensive risk assessments, and detailed execution schedules.
- Conduct rigorous engineering calculations including tubing stress, packer load, and flow performance.
- Provide critical rig-site and remote technical assistance to Operations Supervisors during well control situations or abnormal pressure events.
- Collaborate closely with subsurface, production, EHS, and procurement teams to ensure seamless operational alignment and design compatibility.
- Oversee well integrity, barrier management, and pressure containment standards throughout the workover lifecycle.
- Monitor expenditures, track actual costs against AFE budgets, and deliver comprehensive post-job performance reviews.
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Valid IWCF or IADC Well Control Workover / Completions Certification at the Supervisor Level.
- BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) certification.
- 0 to 5 years of hands-on experience in well engineering, intervention design, and execution.
- Demonstrated expertise in tubing stress analysis, nodal analysis, and sand control technologies.
