About the Role
Marquise Energy Limited is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Well QA/QC / Materialsman to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will ensure the highest standards of quality assurance and material management across all well operations, completions, and workovers. Backed by our end-to-end engineering expertise, you will play a pivotal role in streamlining operations, mitigating downhole risks, and ensuring strict compliance with industry standards and environmental health and safety (EHS) policies.
Key Responsibilities- Prevent equipment defects and verify exact manufacturer product specifications across all well operations tools, tubulars, and fittings.
- Conduct QA/QC audits on third-party service equipment prior to mobilization and manage document control protocols.
- Collaborate with petroleum, production, logistics, and warehouse teams to track material specifications and optimize well designs.
- Formulate and enforce Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) to mitigate downhole tool failures and track material certifications.
- Demonstrate safety leadership by ensuring full compliance with EHS policies during well completions, workovers, and abandonment programs.
- Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot operational problems such as fishing, kicks, or accidents during execution.
- Mentor and coach junior colleagues in well intervention engineering and QA/QC best practices.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering, or a related discipline; an M.Sc is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of combined office-based engineering and active field supervisory experience in complex drilling environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of API, ISO, and ASME standards, alongside proficiency in NDT methodologies and welding surveillance.
- Valid BOSIET certification and IWCF or IADC Well Cap Level 4 certification.
