About the Role
Terra Energy Services Nigeria Ltd (TES) is a leading indigenous engineering and oil and gas service company committed to operational excellence across West Africa. We are currently seeking an experienced Well Operations Technician to support safe and efficient well operations across our offshore production facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring wellheads, Christmas trees, flowlines, and associated production equipment while maintaining the highest standards of safety and well integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor wellheads, Christmas trees, flowlines, and associated offshore production equipment.
- Conduct routine wellhead inspections, pressure monitoring, valve checks, and leak detection activities.
- Monitor well and annulus pressures to promptly identify abnormal operating conditions and escalate risks.
- Support well start-up, shut-in, reinstatement, testing, and production optimization activities.
- Assist with well intervention, well integrity remediation, and pressure-testing procedures.
- Participate in Permit-to-Work (PTW) activities and Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) seamlessly.
- Maintain accurate well status, operational logs, inspection records, and shift handover documentation.
- Support emergency response activities and comply with established offshore safety procedures.
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum of 8 to 12 years of relevant upstream Exploration and Production (E&P) industry experience.
- Demonstrable hands-on offshore well and production operations expertise.
- Valid BOSIET/HUET certification and offshore medical fitness.
- Strong understanding of well integrity, pressure control principles, and HSE requirements.
