About the Role
SIMS Nigeria Limited, a leading distributor and manufacturer of major electronics brands such as Samsung and Royal, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Home Appliances (HA) Supervisor to join our service team in Allen, Ikeja, Lagos. In this role, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of various household appliances while ensuring that our technical team delivers top-tier service that meets strict manufacturer and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the daily diagnosis, installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, and other home appliances.
- Assign daily tasks to technicians, monitor performance, provide hands-on technical guidance, and ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Inspect completed repairs and installations to verify functionality, safety, and compliance with quality control standards before customer handover.
- Assist technicians in diagnosing complex technical faults and implement corrective actions to significantly reduce repeat repairs.
- Monitor service turnaround times to ensure all maintenance requests and installations are completed promptly.
- Manage spare parts inventory, tools, and technical equipment while maintaining accurate records and minimizing wastage.
- Identify technical skill gaps and deliver effective on-the-job coaching to improve team competence and productivity.
- Prepare periodic performance reports detailing repair activities, technician output, and spare parts consumption.
- HND or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in home appliance servicing, installation, and technical repairs, with proven supervisory experience.
- Deep practical knowledge of refrigeration principles, electrical systems, and troubleshooting procedures for major home appliances.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with excellent communication skills.
