About the Role
International Breweries Plc, a renowned leader in the beverage sector and part of the global brewing heritage, is looking for a dedicated and results-driven Brewing Area Manager to join our operations. In this pivotal role, you will lead and manage area teams to deliver sound operational and technical practices in the brewing department, underpinned by prescribed VPO practices. You will be responsible for meeting production plans, adhering to VPO pillar principles, and maintaining strict budgetary control over fixed and variable costs.
Key Responsibilities- Promote beer brewing quality excellence by communicating standards and providing strong leadership within the value chain.
- Provide brewing process expertise and lead technical problem-solving processes, process optimizations, and trials.
- Manage occupational health, safety, and risk for all area teams to maintain a secure working environment.
- Control fixed and variable costs, minimize waste, and ensure conformance to production plans and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with prescribed technology systems including MES, PTS, eQMS, and PaQT.
- Drive people management by applying performance management principles, fostering a positive industrial relations climate, and developing employee pipelines.
- BSc Degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
- Completed brewing traineeship with IBD Papers 1, 2, and 3 completed and passed.
- Master Brewer IBD qualification obtained or currently studying towards the Master Brewer qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years of production experience, including at least 1 year operating at a management level within brewing.
- Demonstrated expertise in driving commercial, financial, operational, and technical decisions within a brewery.
