About the Role
WTS Energy is a leading global manpower and consulting firm to the energy industry, offering hands-on support to professionals worldwide. We are currently recruiting a Well Operations Supervisor to oversee day-to-day rig execution for our upstream operations in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Develop 24-72 hour rig execution plans, lead pre-job HAZID/JSA meetings, and verify well barrier integrity prior to critical operations.
- Monitor real-time drilling parameters and maintain accurate daily reports in WellView to track operational efficiency and manage Non-Productive Time.
- Enforce rigorous HSE standards, maintain well control readiness, and ensure full compliance with NUPRC, API, and ISO regulations.
- Control daily spread costs, validate third-party service tickets, and manage equipment inventories to align with AFE targets.
- Coach drilling crews and service leads, fostering a strong culture of safety, procedural compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in drilling, completions, and workover operations, with at least 3 to 5 years in a wellsite supervisory role.
- Current IWCF Well Control Certification (Supervisor Level).
- Valid BOSIET/HUET, H2S, and relevant offshore safety certifications.
- Professional membership with COREN, NSE, or SPE is an added advantage.
