Key Responsibilities- Ensure mechanical maintenance and repairs through fabrication and welding are completed according to maintenance schedules.
- Maintain the optimal condition and well-being of all burning and welding equipment, conducting regular safety audits.
- Monitor time requirements, optimal manpower, and necessary skills for executing welding jobs efficiently.
- Fabricate required items such as chutes and cones from sketches and drawings provided by superiors or draughtsmen.
- Respond promptly to emergency welding repair needs to minimize plant downtime.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety measures and proper workshop housekeeping by all personnel at all times.
- Monitor and control overtime of subordinates while complying with integrated management system guidelines.
- Educational Qualification: Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Technical College Diploma, or City & Guilds certification.
- Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on welding and fabrication experience within a process or manufacturing industry.
- Proficient knowledge of workplace safety rules, regulations, and relevant welding shop equipment.
- Strong ability to interpret sketches and technical drawings.
