About the Role
Dangote Cement Plc, a subsidiary of Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a dynamic and experienced HEMM Maintenance Manager to join our operations in Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of our heavy earth-moving equipment fleet, directly contributing to our operational efficiency and production goals.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all heavy earth-moving machinery.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults across diverse HEMM fleets.
- Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring to proactively identify and mitigate potential equipment failures.
- Coordinate closely with operations teams to minimize equipment downtime and maximize asset utilization.
- Manage spare parts inventory, forecast critical component requirements, and ensure timely availability.
- Provide technical training, mentorship, and guidance to maintenance technicians and junior staff.
- Oversee equipment commissioning, rigorous testing, and thorough acceptance inspections.
- Ensure strict compliance with all company policies, environmental standards, and workplace safety regulations.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience maintaining heavy equipment, including dumpers, excavators, and drills from major OEMs.
- Prior experience working as a service engineer with OEMs such as Komatsu, CAT, or Epiroc is a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency in reading HEMM system schematics and advanced troubleshooting capabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership, strong analytical skills, and the ability to navigate complex operational environments.
