Key Responsibilities
  • Perform precision welding, cutting, fabrication, and repair work on diverse farm equipment and machinery.
  • Inspect and repair damaged or worn metal components, structural frameworks, and support systems.
  • Read and accurately interpret basic technical drawings, blueprints, and precise measurements.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and custom fabrication work as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Ensure all welding tools, safety gear, and shop equipment are properly maintained, inspected, and safely operated.
  • Strictly adhere to workplace health, safety, and operational protocols at all times.
  • Promptly report equipment defects, potential safety hazards, and major maintenance needs to the Engineering Supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Trade Certificate in Welding, Fabrication, or a closely related technical field.
  • Proven practical experience in industrial welding, metal fabrication, and repair techniques.
  • Proficiency in operating various welding machines, cutting tools, and workshop equipment.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures and hazard mitigation in industrial settings.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Prior working experience in an industrial, manufacturing, agricultural, or similar heavy-duty environment is a distinct advantage.
  • Must reside in Anambra State or neighboring southeastern states.
