About the Role
SNV, a leading international development organization, is seeking a dynamic Energy Project Manager to lead our renewable energy portfolio in Nigeria. In this impactful role, you will spearhead strategic planning, project execution, and stakeholder engagement to advance energy access and sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the overall planning, implementation, and quality assurance of energy projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Ensure full compliance with donor regulations, internal SNV procedures, and financial reporting standards.
- Lead, coach, and motivate multidisciplinary project teams, partners, and external stakeholders.
- Drive business development by identifying new opportunities for innovation, upscaling, and strategic positioning.
- Maintain effective relationships with bilateral and multilateral donors, government bodies, and private sector partners.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Energy, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in renewable energy sector development and project leadership in complex environments.
- Proven expertise in energy financing, private sector engagement, SME support, and M&E frameworks.
- Strong working knowledge of gender equality and social inclusion principles in development programming.
- Exceptional communication, strategic vision, and collaborative leadership skills with fluent written and spoken English.
