About the Role
Sunbeth Global Concepts (SGC) is a reputable trading firm specializing in the export of premium quality raw cocoa beans, cashew, sesame, and other agro-commodities from Nigeria. Our expertise in sourcing, quality control, and logistics makes us a trusted industry leader. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our daily warehouse operations at the Kano facility, ensuring optimal efficiency, accurate record-keeping, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the day-to-day receiving, storage, and dispatch of sesame and related commodities at the Kano warehouse, ensuring strict adherence to approved Standard Operating Procedures.
- Coordinate and direct the daily activities of the Warehouse Officer, allocating tasks effectively and providing on-the-job guidance to maintain high operating standards.
- Ensure proper stacking, lot segregation, and clear commodity identification within the warehouse in line with approved layouts and quality requirements.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization to safely and orderly accommodate incoming commodity volumes.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and retrievable records of all stock movements, receipts, and dispatches to support traceability and inventory reconciliation.
- Liaise closely with the Quality Control team regarding lot inspections, holds, and release statuses impacting warehouse operations.
- Partner with the inventory function to reconcile stock records and support periodic physical stock counts and verifications.
- Identify and promptly report any shortages, damages, or operational irregularities to the Warehouse Manager while supporting corrective action implementations.
- Possession of a B.Sc. or HND in Business Administration, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Agribusiness, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications in warehouse or inventory management will be a distinct advantage.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in warehouse or store operations, including supervisory responsibilities within the agro-commodity, food processing, or FMCG sector.
- Strong familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) as well as manual stock record-keeping practices.
