About the Role
J3 Foods and Stores International is a leading name in food distribution and retail across Nigeria, committed to delivering quality and affordable products. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and diligent Warehouse Storekeeper to join our dynamic team in Oke Ado, Ibadan. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining inventory integrity, optimizing warehouse operations, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods from our facility to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate daily stock records utilizing both manual and digital inventory management tools.
- Conduct daily stock counts and perform regular reconciliations between physical inventory and system records.
- Strictly enforce FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First-Out) principles to manage product lifecycles.
- Monitor inventory thresholds, report low stock levels promptly, and coordinate timely restocking.
- Identify and report slow-moving or at-risk stock proactively to prevent expiration and minimize waste.
- Ensure all warehouse activities strictly adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
- Oversee proper storage practices, including accurate product labeling, safe stacking, and correct handling of perishables.
- Coordinate and verify the accuracy of all stock-related documentation, including GRNs, waybills, and delivery notes.
- Investigate stock variances, damages, or shortages, providing root cause analysis and recommendations to the Head of Warehouse Operations.
- Submit comprehensive daily and weekly inventory performance reports to management on schedule.
- Proven work experience as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Assistant, or in a similar inventory management role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, stock control principles, and FIFO/FEFO inventory methods.
- Proficiency in using digital inventory tools, spreadsheets, and basic warehouse management software.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and high levels of personal integrity.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with warehouse duties and manage time effectively under pressure.
- Reside in or be ready to commute to Oke Ado, Ibadan, Oyo State.
