About the Role

Action Against Hunger Nigeria (ACF Nigeria) Ltd/GTE is a globally recognized humanitarian organization dedicated to ending world hunger and saving lives. We are recruiting a dedicated Warehouse Officer to join our Katsina operations, responsible for overseeing all warehouse functions, maintaining precise inventory control, and ensuring the safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods in full compliance with organizational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Stock Control

  • Receive, verify, and document all incoming and outgoing goods with accuracy in quality, quantity, and records
  • Maintain comprehensive stock records including Stock Follow-Up (SFU) reports, bin cards, and inventory documentation
  • Monitor stock levels, identify shortages, and report replenishment needs promptly
  • Conduct monthly physical inventory counts and monthly stock threshold reviews
  • Track expiry dates for food, medicines, and time-sensitive items, ensuring proper rotation and timely reporting
  • Identify and report slow-moving, obsolete, or unused stock

Warehouse Operations & Storage Management

  • Control warehouse access and maintain custody of storage keys and facilities
  • Ensure compliance with ACF KitLogV3 storage procedures and warehouse standards
  • Maintain clean, organized, ventilated storage facilities with proper temperature and humidity monitoring
  • Separate food from non-food items and ensure safe storage of hazardous materials
  • Coordinate pest control and fumigation activities as required
  • Manage damaged or contaminated products through proper segregation and disposal procedures

Documentation, Dispatch & Team Supervision

  • Process Stock Request Orders (SROs), Delivery Notes (DNs), and Waybills according to procedures
  • Supervise warehouse assistants and casual laborers, overseeing loading/unloading operations
  • Maintain effective communication with procurement teams and report operational challenges
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse and inventory management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years' warehouse or stock management experience, preferably within NGO/INGO environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong organizational, analytical, record-keeping, and communication skills
  • Fluent English; knowledge of Hausa is advantageous
  • High integrity, accountability, and ability to work independently under pressure
