About the Role
Shepherd International College, a government-approved private secondary school in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, is recruiting a skilled and dedicated Cook. Since our establishment in 2005, we have maintained a commitment to providing qualitative education of international standard within a secure and conducive learning environment. We are seeking a culinary professional to support our mission by ensuring students and staff enjoy wholesome, nutritious meals daily.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and prepare varied, nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements and food safety standards
- Manage kitchen operations, including food storage, inventory management, and equipment maintenance
- Ensure strict adherence to hygiene and sanitation protocols
- Collaborate with the school administration on meal planning and budgeting
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure efficient workflow during meal preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining facilities
- Source quality ingredients and manage food costs responsibly
- Proven experience in institutional or commercial cooking
- Relevant culinary qualification or certification
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and nutrition
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
