About the Role
GZ Industries is West Africa’s leading aluminum can manufacturer, expanding rapidly across Sub-Saharan Africa. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Officer to join our dynamic supply chain team in Nigeria and oversee critical inventory and logistics functions.
Key Responsibilities- Ensures that all production materials and items are properly identified with codes, tags, and batches, and accurately accounted for at all times.
- Inspects, verifies, and accepts incoming and outgoing materials to ensure they meet strict quality specifications before warehouse transfer.
- Maintains adequate supplies of raw materials and items to seamlessly meet the daily operational requirements of user departments.
- Carries out timely identification and documentation of all stock movements, maintaining precise records within the enterprise system.
- Participates actively in periodic stock-taking, cycle counting, and inventory control activities while preparing comprehensive reports for management review.
- Receives delivery schedules from customers, coordinates the efficient distribution of aluminum cans, and prepares accurate delivery reports.
- Monitors inventory quality continuously, reporting damages, obsolescence, or expired stock immediately to the Department Head.
- Documents, implements, and maintains quality, food safety, environment, health, and safety management systems within the warehouse.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven professional experience in a warehouse or inventory control role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP software and advanced inventory reporting tools.
