About the Role
Culture Kitchen is a vibrant, cultural-themed restaurant located in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, specializing in authentic Eastern Nigerian (Igbo) cuisine and providing an immersive village atmosphere. We are currently seeking energetic and customer-focused Waitresses to join our dynamic front-of-house team. In this role, you will be the face of our restaurant, welcoming guests, guiding them through our rich traditional menu, and ensuring they experience the warm hospitality that Culture Kitchen is known for.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and seat guests warmly, offering complimentary kuli-kuli and introducing the cultural theme.
- Present menus, explain regional Eastern Nigerian dishes, and make insightful recommendations.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and transmit them promptly to the kitchen and bar.
- Serve meals and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene.
- Handle guest inquiries, resolve complaints gracefully, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Process payments accurately and manage billing procedures using the restaurant's POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, tables, and service stations throughout the shift.
- Minimum of SSCE or relevant hospitality certification.
- Previous experience as a waitress or in a customer-facing restaurant role, preferably within Lagos.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining a positive attitude.Impeccable personal grooming and a professional, welcoming demeanor.
- Familiarity with Eastern Nigerian cuisine and cultural hospitality is an added advantage.
