About the Role
Class Suites Hotels & Apartments is seeking a dedicated and hospitable Porter to join our dynamic team across our modern properties in Lagos (Ikeja, Ogudu, Ogba, Agege) and Abuja. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a lasting impression of warmth, efficiency, and exceptional Nigerian hospitality. We pride ourselves on providing comfortable lodgings close to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS) and the Jabi metropolis, and we need reliable professionals to maintain our high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities- Greet arriving and departing guests warmly, offering prompt assistance with luggage transport to and from rooms or the hotel lobby.
- Answer guest inquiries regarding hotel amenities, local attractions, transportation, and general city directions.
- Assist the front desk team by answering phone calls, taking messages, and transferring calls to the appropriate departments.
- Support the customer service and events crew with setting up upcoming functions, arranging seating, and updating directional signage.
- Provide safe vehicle parking and retrieval services for guests when required, ensuring utmost care with all personal automobiles.
- Ensure guest safety during emergency evacuations by guiding travelers and visitors calmly to designated assembly points.
- Run occasional errands for guests and hotel management to guarantee a seamless and satisfying stay.
- Minimum of a Secondary School Certificate (SSCE); additional education in hospitality management is a distinct advantage.
- Previous experience working as a hotel porter, bellhop, or in a customer-facing hospitality role is preferred.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and clean driving record (for vehicle handling responsibilities).
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Physical fitness and stamina to lift heavy luggage and remain on your feet for extended periods.
