About the Role
Crossover Restaurant is a premier Abuja-based dining destination known for offering an exquisite blend of authentic Nigerian and continental delicacies. We are currently seeking a vibrant, customer-oriented Waiter or Waitress to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this role, you will be the face of our restaurant, ensuring that every guest receives prompt, courteous, and memorable service from the moment they arrive until they depart.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables promptly.
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions about dishes, ingredients, allergens, and preparation methods.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them correctly into the POS system.
- Communicate special dietary needs and requests clearly to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while adhering to the restaurant's high service standards.
- Check on guests regularly during their meal, offer refills, and ensure total satisfaction.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently while maintaining a clean and tidy dining area.
- Perform opening, running, and closing side work including stocking and general station cleanliness.
- Promote daily specials and upsell additional menu items where appropriate.
- Minimum of a SSCE or relevant hospitality certification.
- Proven experience as a Waiter, Waitress, or in a similar customer-facing hospitality role within Abuja.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a polite and engaging demeanor.
- Strong working knowledge of POS systems and basic restaurant operations.
- Immaculate personal hygiene and adherence to food safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment, especially during peak hours.
