About the Role
The Digital Rights and Mental Health Initiative Africa (DRMHI) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Volunteer to join our growing team. Founded by Kauna Malgwi, DRMHI is a pioneering organization focused on the intersection of digital labor, technology-driven harms, and psychological well-being. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our programme activities, collecting and analyzing vital data, tracking key indicators, and contributing to evidence-based management. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring development professional to gain hands-on experience in the non-profit sector while contributing to digital rights and mental health advocacy in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Support the monitoring and implementation of DRMHI programme activities.
- Assist in designing, developing, and utilizing effective data collection tools.
- Conduct data collection, entry, and cleaning to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain and update M&E databases, trackers, and beneficiary feedback mechanisms.
- Track programme indicators and assist in identifying data quality issues.
- Support monitoring visits and programme evaluations.
- Contribute to the preparation of comprehensive M&E reports and documentation of lessons learned.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all programme and beneficiary information.
- BSc or HND in Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and overall computer literacy.
- Familiarity with modern data collection and analysis tools is a distinct advantage.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote and multidisciplinary team.
- Must possess a working personal laptop and reliable internet access.
- Minimum availability of ten (10) hours per week with willingness to commit to bi-monthly work plans.
- Ability to promptly respond to official communications within one (1) hour during agreed availability periods.
- Willingness to report physically once weekly for meetings as agreed with the DRMHI team, if applicable.
