About the Role
The Obaland Magazine, an established international media company operating across Nigeria and Italy since 2009, is looking for a talented and dedicated Video Editor. In this role, you will help produce compelling visual content spanning entertainment, fashion, art, culture, and business, reaching diverse audiences across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities- Edit and assemble raw video footage into polished, engaging final cuts for digital broadcasting, television, and online journalism platforms.
- Collaborate closely with producers, journalists, and the broader media team to ensure creative alignment and high production standards.
- Manage video and audio assets efficiently, maintaining organized project files and adhering to established brand guidelines.
- Meet strict publishing deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and creative storytelling quality.
- Incorporate feedback from editors and stakeholders to continuously improve visual output.
- Mandatory ability and willingness to work physically from our office in Benin City, Nigeria.
- Proven experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing technical proficiency and creative vision.
- Fresh graduates with a degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Broadcasting, English, or related disciplines are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills with a professional and responsible attitude.
