In this pivotal senior role, you will direct our national agenda-setting efforts, ensuring Media Trust remains the most trusted and authoritative voice in public policy, power reporting, and investigative journalism across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Lead political and governance coverage across digital, print, and broadcast platforms.
- Coordinate with the News Hub to commission daily stories, exclusive reports, and structured deep dives.
- Manage breaking news workflows, ensuring rapid reporting followed by verified context and rigorous analysis.
- Oversee multi-platform adaptation, tailoring content for web, front-page print, TV debates, and radio bulletins.
- Review headline hierarchies, approve daily assignments, and collaborate with specialized desks like Radar and Checkpoint.
- Extensive senior editorial leadership experience in public-interest reporting, current affairs, or long-form journalism.
- Exceptional editorial judgment with a proven track record of breaking exclusive stories and managing complex reporting projects.
- Strong grasp of verification processes, editorial risk management, and evidence-led reporting standards.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced breaking news environment.
