About the Role
Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, established by the Ondo State Government, is seeking a visionary and dynamic individual to serve as its next Vice-Chancellor, effective February 23, 2027. The University is dedicated to advancing learning and developing talent in a thriving academic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the Principal Academic and Chief Executive Officer of the University, overseeing day-to-day administration.
- Act as the chief exponent of the educational mission, managing protocol, external relations, and internal coordination.
- Be responsible to the Governing Council for human, financial, and material resource management.
- Maintain and promote efficiency, good order, and high academic standards across the institution.
- Act as a member of Council, Chairman of the Senate, and Chairman of the Congregation.
- Lead, motivate, and inspire students, academic staff, and non-academic staff toward achieving strategic goals.
- Must hold a PhD Degree and be a full Professor of not less than ten (10) years' standing as of the closing date.
- Possess a proven academic track record commanding national and international respect.
- Demonstrate a clear, actionable vision for the continued growth and development of the University.
- Show proven ability to attract international research grants, extra-statutory funds, and build sustainable local and global partnerships.
- Exhibit high personal integrity, strong ICT literacy, excellent interpersonal skills, and good physical and mental health.
- Must not be older than sixty-four (64) years as of February 23, 2026.
- Non-renewable single term of five (5) years in office.
- Competitive remuneration and conditions of service applicable to Nigerian public universities, determined by the Ondo State Government and OAUSTECH Council.
