About the Role
Compovine Technologies is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Vehicle Maintenance Officer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our corporate fleet remains in top-tier condition, supporting our daily business operations seamlessly and safely. We are looking for a proactive professional who can manage routine servicing, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and implement preventive maintenance schedules with precision.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules for all company vehicles to minimize downtime and repair costs.
- Monitor vehicle performance, diagnose mechanical faults, and coordinate prompt repairs with certified mechanics and service centers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, insurance renewals, and maintenance history.
- Ensure all company vehicles comply with Nigerian road safety standards, emission regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, spare parts suppliers, and auto-repair workshops to negotiate the best service rates.
- Respond swiftly to roadside emergencies or vehicle breakdowns, coordinating towing and alternative transportation logistics.
- Prepare periodic reports on fleet operational costs, maintenance expenditures, and vehicle efficiency for management review.
- Possession of a relevant Bachelor's degree, HND, or equivalent professional certification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 to 10 years of proven hands-on experience in fleet management and vehicle maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of automobile mechanics, diagnostic tools, and modern vehicle systems.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and organizational skills.
- Valid Nigerian driver's license and a clean driving record.
