About the Role
Teestone Hotel & Apartments is a modern boutique hotel located in the peaceful neighborhood of Ikeja, just 15 minutes from Murtala Muhammed International Airport. We pride ourselves on delivering contemporary hospitality, comfort, and convenience to business and leisure travelers alike. To maintain our high standards of guest satisfaction and operational excellence, we are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Hotel Maintenance Personnel specializing in plumbing, electrical systems, and air conditioning maintenance. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that all hotel facilities, equipment, and guest rooms remain in pristine working condition, providing a safe and seamless experience for everyone on our property.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities, guest rooms, public areas, and mechanical equipment to identify potential issues early.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing networks, HVAC units, and backup generators.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and service faulty air conditioning units, electrical outlets, lighting fixtures, and plumbing appliances promptly.
- Respond swiftly to maintenance requests and emergency call-outs from guests and various hotel departments.
- Carry out general handyman tasks including minor carpentry, painting, tiling, door lock repairs, and furniture fixing.
- Monitor water supply systems, sewage lines, and utility meters to guarantee uninterrupted hotel operations.
- Maintain accurate logs of all completed maintenance tasks, repairs, and scheduled equipment servicing.
- Supervise and assist external contractors during specialized facility upgrades and major repair projects.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations across all hotel grounds.
- Manage maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory responsibly and safely.
- Minimum of an SSCE, OND, Trade Test Certificate, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Proven hands-on experience in hotel maintenance, facility management, or building repairs.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical wiring, plumbing installations, and HVAC/AC servicing.
- Exceptional troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic abilities.
- Physical fitness and readiness to handle manual tasks and shift duties, including weekends and holidays.
- Good communication skills and a customer-oriented approach when interacting with guests and staff.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a collaborative team.
