About the Role
Siperco Nigeria Limited, a leading manufacturing company operating in Nigeria since 1981, is seeking a skilled Static and Rotating Equipment Engineer to join our dynamic plant operations team. In this role, you will provide critical technical engineering support for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of both static and rotating machinery, ensuring maximum equipment integrity, safety, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert engineering support for static and rotating equipment within our manufacturing facility.
- Perform technical assessments, troubleshooting, and reliability analysis for pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and related assets.
- Review and interpret P&IDs, Mechanical Data Sheets (MDS), equipment specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Develop and review technical requisitions, equipment datasheets, and comprehensive vendor documentation.
- Contribute technical expertise to maintenance strategies, plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and facility modification projects.
- Ensure all equipment designs and maintenance activities fully comply with relevant API, ASME, ISO, and industry standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Inspection, and Project teams to swiftly resolve equipment-related challenges.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- 6 to 10 years of relevant engineering experience within heavy manufacturing, petrochemical, fertilizer, or industrial plant environments.
- Proven hands-on operational experience with centrifugal pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels.
- Strong technical mastery of P&IDs, MDS, equipment datasheets, and mechanical specifications.
- Demonstrated expertise in mechanical integrity, reliability principles, and equipment troubleshooting.
