We are currently looking for a dedicated Utility Technician to take charge of our utility equipment and operations, ensuring seamless support for production activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility for utility operations to ensure smooth running and optimal efficiency levels.
  • Leverage mechanical, electrical, and general engineering troubleshooting skills to operate, monitor, maintain, and sustain onsite utilities.
  • Perform routine interventions and troubleshoot process cold water chillers, air compressors, nitrogen generators, extractors, air conditioners, and extraction systems.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience working on HVAC, plumbing, extraction and ventilation systems, and fire suppression operations.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to achieve organizational goals while maintaining strict accountability and attention to detail.
  • Act as a champion of safety for yourself, colleagues, equipment, and the general workplace environment.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of an HND (Upper Credit) in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field).
  • 3 to 5 years of engineering utilities experience within an FMCG or processing plant environment.
  • Age requirement between 28 and 35 years, with residency around Magboro or its immediate environs.
  • Proficiency in MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and strong baseline problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision, exhibit strong teamwork, and communicate effectively.
