About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is hiring a dedicated Utilities Technician to join our client's dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in operating and maintaining vital utility systems to guarantee efficient and uninterrupted plant operations across our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, monitor, and maintain boilers, water treatment plants (WTP), industrial generators, and associated utility equipment.
- Perform routine inspections, minor repairs, and basic preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
- Troubleshoot utility equipment faults efficiently and escalate major technical issues to management promptly.
- Maintain accurate utility logbooks, shift handover reports, and comprehensive operational records.
- Assist with basic stainless steel (SS) and mild steel (MS) welding and fabrication tasks as required.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal safety guidelines, environmental regulations, and operational standards.
- Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on industrial experience, preferably within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of boiler operations, water treatment plants, and heavy-duty generators.
- Basic technical proficiency in stainless steel (SS) and mild steel (MS) welding and fabrication.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to work.
