About the Role
Imo Robotic Surgery and Oncology Centre Limited is a pioneering, state-of-the-art medical institution established through a strategic Public-Private Partnership with the Imo State Government. Located at the Imo State Specialist Hospital in Umuguma, Owerri, we are dedicated to becoming West Africa's premier hub for advanced minimally invasive surgery and comprehensive cancer care. We are currently looking for a dynamic Urologist to join our world-class medical team and help us eliminate outbound medical tourism by delivering exceptional patient care utilizing cutting-edge technology.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert diagnostic and therapeutic urological care to patients utilizing advanced medical and surgical techniques.
- Perform complex urological procedures, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary oncology and surgical teams.
- Utilize state-of-the-art surgical technologies, including robotic-assisted systems, to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Conduct thorough pre-operative and post-operative evaluations, ensuring comprehensive patient management and education.
- Participate in departmental research, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous medical education programs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential electronic medical records in compliance with hospital standards.
- Possess a relevant medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Hold a postgraduate fellowship or specialization in Urology (e.g., FWACS, FMCUrology, or equivalent international certification).
- Current and valid practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification clinical experience in urology, preferably within a reputable hospital setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in minimally invasive and robotic urological surgeries is a distinct advantage.
