About the Role
Plumptre Advisory is seeking a passionate and qualified Upper Elementary Montessori Directress/Director to guide learners in a meticulously prepared Montessori environment. In this role, you will support students academically, spiritually, emotionally, and physically, helping each child achieve their fullest potential in alignment with authentic Montessori philosophy and procedures. This is initially a temporary position with a strong possibility of transitioning to permanent employment based on performance.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and facilitate student activities academically, spiritually, emotionally, and physically within a prepared Montessori environment.
- Prepare and maintain an engaging, safe, and organized learning environment that adheres to Montessori standards.
- Manage classroom safety initiatives and foster positive, proactive communication with parents and guardians.
- Assess student progress and provide individualized support to ensure holistic development and academic excellence.
- Collaborate with school staff and leadership to promote equity, inclusion, and the overall well-being of all learners.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Education, with a strong focus on Montessori philosophy.
- At least 5 years of professional teaching experience, including a minimum of 2 years managing a Montessori classroom.
- Valid Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification.
- Montessori Elementary diploma from a MACTE-accredited programme for the specified grade level is a distinct advantage.
- Recent experience with Special Education Needs (SEN) and inclusive education practices is highly preferred.
