About the Role
Proforce Limited, a leading total defence solution provider specializing in armoured vehicles and personal protection, is seeking a skilled and experienced Upholsterer to join our dynamic production team in Ode Remo, Ogun State. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our manufacturing process by ensuring the highest standards of comfort, durability, and precision in our vehicle interiors.
Key Responsibilities- Install and repair upholstery on vehicle seats, door panels, headliners, dashboards, and other interior components.
- Measure, cut, sew, and fit fabrics, leather, vinyl, foam, and other specialized upholstery materials.
- Interpret basic engineering drawings, technical specifications, and precise measurements.
- Ensure proper alignment, fitting, tension, and flawless finishing of all upholstered vehicle parts.
- Identify and correct defects such as wrinkles, loose fittings, uneven stitching, and poor finishing.
- Operate sewing machines, cutting tools, staplers, adhesives, and workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with Engineers, Technicians, Fabricators, Panel Beaters, and production personnel.
- Inspect completed upholstery work to guarantee compliance with rigorous quality and safety standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized workstation while strictly adhering to company HSE procedures.
- Minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO, NABTEB, Trade Test, or relevant Technical College qualification.
- At least 3 years of practical experience as an Upholsterer in automobile manufacturing, vehicle bodywork, or engineering environments.
- Strong practical knowledge of engineering and automobile manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and specifications.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and physical fitness for hands-on manufacturing work.
